I commend your store for protecting people from other people by requiring masks. Your store, your rules and I can respect that. Also convenient you offer them for only $1.00. Now if people would just keep them on inside the store, it would be great. My husband and I witnessed a biker that gave the girls at entrance enforcing this mask wearing a very hard time.

We thought he acted like a total A-. It was their job, and this guy thought he should be the exception?

For those that don't know, if you have a Menards store in your area Home Depot says they will match their 11% rebate on your total purchase during the times.

He finally gave in, and then roamed the store with it below his blow hard breathing apparatus anyway. Don't like it, wait outside or go home.I appreciate the extra work it must take to keep your customers safe. With that in mind, I do question the way you make people enter only on one end and exit only on the other.

You of course are not the only store doing this. I guess I kind of get why you are routing people this way, but the fact that people are having to walk all the way through the store just to shop at one end, kind of defeats the purpose of trying your best to stay out of the public.

My specific reasoning is this: I went simply to go to the outdoor garden area and really did not want to enter the store, yet had to walk through it to get there as you have no direct entrance to garden center. I again had to enter store to check out because there is no cashier set up outside, which I feel you should have at least one, especially under these circumstances, and it is easy enough to do. Me and my sister was in the warren ohio store at 2015 Wal Mart drive N.E.

We had a battery out of her riding mower that wouldn't hold a charge. As we walked in the service desk was right there so we asked the employee what we needed to do withThe old battery? We was told to go to automotive and I thought that sounds right 👍.

So once we walked into store we looked to our right and way down at the other end of the store we seen a sign for automotive. Probably about halfway through we could see that the lawnmowers were in the same area by automotive. So another employee said that the battery's were halfway down from where we was finally we found the battery's.So now they didn't have one with the same cold cranking amp's so we asked the employee how about giving us a hand and he said that wasn't his department that he would get someone to help us.So we kept looking and we finally decided to get a higher cold cranking amp battery then the guy from that department after we waited for at least 10 minutes and told us the same thing we had already figured out to go with the one that had a higher cold cranking amp battery! Then we asked the employee what we needed to do with the old battery and guess what he told us that we had to take it to the service desk!! So back to where we started when we walked the store!!! Then my sister was able to get the battery's exchanged and was able to pay for a couple other things that she had picked up!!!!

So I had picked up a toilet seat so while she was taking care of my sister I asked if she could ring me out too!!!!! But guess what no way she could do that I had to go back to the regular cash registers which was back just on the other side of the lawnmower battery's halfway through the store again!!!!!!Mind you that me and my sister both have bad backs from working hard all our lives!!!!!!! Shame on you Menards! Then on the way to the regular cash registers my sister remembered that she had to get a spark plug for her push lawnmower and she asked another employee where the spark plugs were and he said down in automotive the other end of the store!!!!!!!Now I want to say that. I read some of the reviewsBefore I wrote this review and I read one guy said that you better be ready to do some walking and that he got some drywall in one place and drywall mud somewhere else and screws yet another place!!!!! Makes no sense to me either!!😤 Then yesterday 5-2-2020 I tried to find window blinds on line for about a half-hour till I was screaming at my phone!!!

My wife was asking me what I was screaming about😤😤!!! That's when I decided to write this review which I never did before. I don't think with all the different complaints that this place won't be around long👎👎👎!!!

Now I did the same work for 34 years and 14 years of those we're on my own so I must have done something right 👍 and working for someone else 22 years I met a lot of people so when I started my own business Probably half of of the people came with me 👍👍👍. People were coming to my house when I started because I was the one that was always coming to there house's or there businesses!! For that matter I was trusted enough that they would leave there house open for me or I would already have the keys to there house or house's and businesses.

So I must have done something right 👍 👍!! So I'm done but please don't get me wrong I'm not one to pat myself on the back!!! But again I don't think this place is going to be around long if they don't change there ways!!!!!! I think if any of my old customers and friends mostly friends if they see 👀 this there probably going to figure out who I am. All the years I worked I always said service is the main thing for any business👍👍👍👍 Again Shame on you Menards!!!!! I personally think that some of my old customers and friends mostly friends if they see this review may figure out who I am and maybe getting in touch with me👍👍👍!!! Or maybe they will not go there or try to orderOnline.

This is really ridiculous your forcing people to wear masks when it’s not mandatory it’s more of a high risk to get the virus when wearing masks masks can carry the virus it should be your own choice if you want to wear one or not but forcing people I will never ever step foot in this store ever again there’s so many people in the store without them the governor of Ohio even said it’s nots mandatory because the masks that people are wearing can carry the virus it’s your choice if you want to or not. I know this goes against popular thinking but I was going to leave Menards and shop somewhere else when they required me to buy a face mask to shop.I bought paint the day before and had to get the same paint. I would have shopped somewhere else if I didn't have to buy that specific paint.I had to buy a face mask or leave. I am trying to increase and strengthen my immune system not cripple it and make myself more vulnerable to virus. We need exposure to strengthen our immune systems.

Don't listen to me, don't listen to 'The News', listen to science. As a contractor for a prop management co. I spend ALOT of time inside several different menards stores in my area. I must say that I absolutely hate this store and would never step foot in one if not forced to by my employer. The layout of the stores makes no sense: need drywall? That’s in one part of the store.

Need drywall patching? That’s in a completely different part of the store. Need drywall mud? YEP you guessed it, In a completely different part of the store. For that fact alone be prepared to walk! For even the smallest of projects you will walk anywhere from a quarter to three quarters of a mile dragging 100-150 lbs of stuff with you.

I spent 10 minutes on my knees looking through products, products all laid out in the isle like I was looking for something, just to have employee walk back and forth To and from the dept service desk, without ever asking if I need help. The service in ALL of these stores is so bad that I have taken to CALLING the store to have them send someone to Assist me as opposed to spending 20 minutes finding an employee who doesn’t work in the department i need help in.

Their 11% deal is nothing more than a way to harvest and the sell your personal information on the open market, to the highest bidder. Just a horrible horrible business model that is driving small business, out of business. Last November, I spent 800 dollars on basement windows from a local store. I sent in 2 rebates on the same day. I failed to properly copy the bottom of the original receipt when I sent them off in the mail. I got the small check back right away, but the 85 dollar receipt was never acknowledged.

After many phone calls with a really rude receptionist at corporate office, I was repeatedly told there was no supervisor or manager to speak with other than her and she kept hanging up on me. The rebates department only responded with needing the original receipt which they lost and then they stopped all together. I thought this was a family owned operation. It seemed pretty souless to me.Finally, after 5 months, the general manager helped me and made good on the rebate. If it were not for this kind gesture, I would never step foot in a store again.I have found the staff to be really rude and unhelpful at the Maplewood store on Sunday.

I went to Oakdale Monday and had a positive and completely different experience. Now I am reading about the pathetic mask policy. It will be months before I return and they have lost my business until the policy is revised.I will be shopping at Ace hardware this summer. Menards now requires a mask to enter their store. Fine no problem. If you dont have one they will happily sell you one for a dollar. I know what these cost and thats about 20 cents apiece direct from China. So its great for Menards.

All do respect to the people who are just trying to keep others safe, the Covid-19 rule they’ve set in place is that no child under the age of 16 is allowed into the store currently.

While I was spending the day with my mother, she had some items to return as she is a real estate agent and also flips houses, we had to visit Menards and upon entering, I was asked how old I was, I simply told them my age, 16, and he said “I don’t think so” and wouldn’t allow me in the store. My mother repeatedly tried proving my age and when she asked for a manager he said “Ma’am your daughter is obviously lying and is not 16. If you would like to shop, please do but your daughter can not enter” or something VERY close to that. It’s frankly bothersome to me as a person and a girl.

Please no one go trying to accuse me of being butthurt. I’m not, just felt people should be informed. And everyone DO STAY SAFE. Poor customer service.

I ordered 2 kayaks on line. I arrived to pick up the department manager came out and threw the kayaks on the back of the truck. This was a very windy day and I struggled for 20 minutes to strap it down. It would have taken a couple of minutes for him to help me strap it down. As I was looking at the kayaks I noticed they were not the right ones. I went back inside and they said yep they are wrong and we don’t have yours.

They offered a refund which I felt was unacceptable. I had driven 30 minutes to pick them up and wrestle with tying them down for 20 minutes. I located the correct kayaks at 2 other store and asked them to ship them to me.

They said they couldn’t do that. The manager did say if I paid for the shipping ($400) he would give me a $400 in store credit. I declined, I felt they should pay for the shipping, it wasn’t my fault they pulled the wrong item. I also have no desire to spend another dime in their store after the way I was treated.

Do yourself a favor and go next door to Lowe’s! I was greeted with a friendly hello and helpful people in each department I visited. They are not allowing any children under the age of 16 into the store because of the coronavirus outbreak.

It is totally okay to take precautions but you can NOT make children stay in their vehicles. Children are generally safer from this virus than anyone, so why not make people 65 and up not allowed? Either make everyone allowed in or nobody allowed in.

As to the second comment, I have been a professional cabinetmaker for 35 years and have bought supplies at menards for a long while.I know what the rebates look like, and when you are waiting for them you know what to look for. Also if you squeeze the rebate you can see the persons name and the amount on the card with opening it. Take it to the Menards store and sign that name and get free merchandise for it.Our Menards does not require ID proof when cashing it in. Also by going on their website, you can see if it was used yet, mine has not been used as of today.

@PissedConsumer1587367After speaking to the. manager again at Menards in Toledo, Oh.

On, she called me back on the next day.She was able to contact the corporate store and they are going to issue me a new 11% rebate card to replace the card I did not get. Thank you Menards, and a special thank you to Mica for her follow-up on this problem. I want people to know things can be resolved if you talk with the local store where you shop.I like to shop at Menards because they carry a lot of the materials I need for my projects that Lowes and Home Depot do not carry. Thank you again Mica and Menards for resolving the problem.

Take it to the Menards store and sign that name and get free merchandise for it.Our Menards does not require ID proof when cashing it in. Also by going on their website, you can see if it was used yet, mine has not been used as of today.

  • I commend your store for protecting people from other people by requiring masks.

For those that don\'t know, if you have a Menards store in your area Home Depot says they will match their 11% rebate on your total purchase during the times.

He finally gave in, and then roamed the store with it below his blow hard breathing apparatus anyway. Don\'t like it, wait outside or go home.I appreciate the extra work it must take to keep your customers safe.

We had a battery out of her riding mower that wouldn\'t hold a charge.

So another employee said that the battery\'s were halfway down from where we was finally we found the battery\'s.So now they didn\'t have one with the same cold cranking amp\'s so we asked the employee how about giving us a hand and he said that wasn\'t his department that he would get someone to help us.So we kept looking and we finally decided to get a higher cold cranking amp battery then the guy from that department after we waited for at least 10 minutes and told us the same thing we had already figured out to go with the one that had a higher cold cranking amp battery! Then we asked the employee what we needed to do with the old battery and guess what he told us that we had to take it to the service desk!! So back to where we started when we walked the store!!! Then my sister was able to get the battery\'s exchanged and was able to pay for a couple other things that she had picked up!!!!

So I had picked up a toilet seat so while she was taking care of my sister I asked if she could ring me out too!!!!! But guess what no way she could do that I had to go back to the regular cash registers which was back just on the other side of the lawnmower battery\'s halfway through the store again!!!!!!Mind you that me and my sister both have bad backs from working hard all our lives!!!!!!!

That\'s when I decided to write this review which I never did before. I don\'t think with all the different complaints that this place won\'t be around long👎👎👎!!!

Now I did the same work for 34 years and 14 years of those we\'re on my own so I must have done something right 👍 and working for someone else 22 years I met a lot of people so when I started my own business Probably half of of the people came with me 👍👍👍. People were coming to my house when I started because I was the one that was always coming to there house\'s or there businesses!! For that matter I was trusted enough that they would leave there house open for me or I would already have the keys to there house or house\'s and businesses.

So I must have done something right 👍 👍!! So I\'m done but please don\'t get me wrong I\'m not one to pat myself on the back!!! But again I don\'t think this place is going to be around long if they don\'t change there ways!!!!!!

I would have shopped somewhere else if I didn\'t have to buy that specific paint.I had to buy a face mask or leave. I am trying to increase and strengthen my immune system not cripple it and make myself more vulnerable to virus. We need exposure to strengthen our immune systems.

Don\'t listen to me, don\'t listen to \'The News\', listen to science.

They keep you safe charge you to do it. 80 cents profit doesn\'t sound like a big deal but times that by all the people entering their stores daily and its probably well over 100k profit a day. I bought a 500 dollar door there today and you cant even spot me a 20 cent mask? I didnt buy the 1200 dollar cabinets. Going somewhere else for that.People aren\'t as dumb as you think John. They know your screwing them with your mask crap.

Hows it feel John to make money off everyone\'s misery? Feel good?John Menards net worth is now 16.5 billion dollars. I have been shopping at various Menards for years. Customer service has always been the issue with this company. Seems like people that work there (except for a select few) have horrible attitudes and a sense of false entitlement. My experiences has been that most of the employees are rude, angry, and lack motivation/initiative. They have an attitude that screams: \'What the h.

do you want?\' When you approach them for assistance (whether it is on the phone or in-person). I rehab homes on the side and I have had negative experiences one way or another with most of the departments. They do a half-assed job and never go out their way to help others. Each sections act like they don\'t work for the other sections and sometimes behave as if they are a completely separate entities from each other. I\'m guessing due to their crappy customer service, they have to offer lower prices on most of the items if compared to HD and Lowes, which is the only reason I still shop there.

    \'Menards\'

What if a single parent needs to run in with her 4 year old child? It’s not like the child can stay home alone or in the car! This is not okay and they need to make some big changes! It’s actually ILLEGAL to discriminate against age!

I bought over $900.00 worth of merchandise at Menards in Toledo,Oh on 8-25-2018 I have a rebate coming for $99.68 that I have been waiting 9 weeks so far and haven\'t seen yet. I spoke with the manager at the Menards store once and the. manager twice.Related:Each time all they say is wait longer.

I found out the rebate was issued on 9-25-18 and I told the manager this info, and all he keeps saying is wait a little longer. It is now and still nothing They keep saying they will e-mail to find out about my rebate. They said they have no phone number to call.I found the phone no. To corporate Menards It is 715-876-5911 and am told to resubmit. I filed a complaint with the Toledo Better Business Bureau today.
